Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah announced the final list of shortlisted cricketers through a media statement on Friday evening.
The list, selected from over 1,500 cricketers who signed up for the comprehensive auction, includes 318 Indian cricketers who have not played for the national team and 48 Indian cricketers who have played for the national team. As expected, the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul were all named as important players and each of them picked the maximum base price of Rs. 2 Crores.
Of the 12 top players, South Africa veteran David Miller (worth Rs 150 crore), who was split into two groups of six players each, was the only cricketer not to opt for the highest base price band.
